Having traveled to Israel 7 times with members from our church, we thoroughly enjoyed the Palestinian foods, along with some of the traditional fares of the Israeli people. This classic potato latke is part of the celebration of Hanukkah and has become a holiday favorite for our family, with our son Judah doing the cooking.
It's simple, enjoyable and can be used for any meal time or snack. You can eat it paired with whatever you like but some favorites in our family are greek yogurt and homemade apple sauce or thick, spicy apple butter.
