Hummus

Middle East Plate

Hummus made fresh is a healthy choice and a delicious dish to serve your friends. Whether mild or spicy, you will enjoy this creation.​

Ingredients

2 1/2 cups dried Garbanzo beans

1/2 cup olive oil 

1 cup lemon juice

3/4 cup tahini 

1 tsp ground pepper

1 tsp sea salt

1 tsp garlic salt 

1 tsp chipotle or cayenne 

add some homemade fermented chili sauce

 

Directions

Soak beans overnight, drain liquid and then cover 1/2-1 inch with water. bring beans to a boil and then reduce to a simmer with lid on for an hour or until tender and then let cool. Save the liquid from the beans and add as needed. Mix all ingredients in a. blender till a preferred consistency.
