Black Bean Hummus
Healthy and nutritious and fiber enriched. This tasty appetizer will not spike your sugar and it is easy to make. Wow your friends with a real treat that has all the flavor you want to give this dish.
Ingredients

Black Bean base from dried beans:
1 lb or 2 cups of dried black beans
1 bay leaf
1 tsp chipotle
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp red chili flakes

Directions
​
Soak beans overnight in water. The next day drain off the water and fill pot to about 1/2 - 1 inch of water above top of beans and Bring to a boil. then let simmer with a lid on for one hour or until tender. pour liquid into a bowl and set aside. Put cooked beans into a food processor

Ingredients for Hummus
​
Beans from above recipe or 2 cans of black beans
1/2 cup of lemon juice
1/2 cup of tahini
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
t tsp garlic salt
1 tsp ground pepper
2 tsp of chili sauce or hot sauce

Directions
​
Blend all ingredients together, adding liquid from beans as needed until reaching the consistency preferred.
