Creative Art
I have always been captivated by the variety of colors found in all of creation. Painting allows me to express on paper and canvas color schemes that I believe God enjoys working with me on. - Pastor Mike

In Memory of Lawrence Pixley
I learned much of my work ethic from my uncle Lawerence. He had an 80-acre farm in Michigan. 7am to 7pm in the fields laying tile, dynamiting stumps to clear more land. You ate your lunch off a wagon, and my aunt Gertrude had a feast on the table at 7pm. Some of the hardest work and favorite memories.

Ellie's Butterfly
I painted this butterfly for my first granddaughter Ellie. It speaks of the beauty and simplicity of a young girl starting her journey in a world that needs to experience magic. Ellie, your love for God’s creation and animals is going to carry you into His wonderland.

Margie's Butterfly
Margie’s transformation from living through a Japanese internment camp in World War II as a young child into a woman of strength and character was the inspiration for this painting that I created for her. Margie’s has a strong faith and love for God.
William's Gecko
William painted his first painting while sitting on my lap when he was one year old. By the time he was three, we were producing Auggie’s video stories. Nona inspired us on this journey of creating Auggie & Bunny in The Dark Forest, Auggie & Bunny’s Moon Adventure, and Auggie and Bunny & The Humpback Whale. What adventures we have been through.

Maddie's Poppies
When Maddie was quite young she wanted to help me pick up leaves with the John Deere, so off we went! She would sit on my lap and help me steer. We had a blast together! She loves gymnastics and when we facetime she has a great memory, sharing the details of her practices on the balance beam.

Olivia's Roses
Olivia and I had an unusual way of greeting; we would make these contorted faces at each other. Family members didn’t realize that this was our special thing, and I had to do some explaining when she got in trouble for making faces. I painted two different colors of wild roses for her.

McKenna's Otter

My granddaughter McKenna loves the outdoors, especially at her home in Alaska. Already she is an adventurer who loves to salmon fish the rivers with her parents. She loves art and colors and is becoming her own artist.
Wildflowers
Living in California on the base of the foothills, I would look out my office window and see the beautiful orange hue of California poppies dancing in a spring breeze.

Blue
My sister Olive loved her horse, Blue. I painted this commemorative picture for her as a reminder of the love and joy she has experienced with Blue.

Tessa
Tessa was supposed to be my daughter’s dog, but the bond between her and I was strong. Tessa loved laying in my office while I worked, or sitting under my chair while I read.
